With nearly 77 years combined experience Kelly Shannon, President and Marvin Kale PQS(F), GSC, Vice President, oversee the day to day operation of the talented and dedicated staff at KDS.
Kelly Shannon began his career in the construction industry 39 years ago. He has been the president of KDS Construction since founding the company in 1984. Prior to forming KDS, Mr. Shannon worked as a certified journeyman carpenter. He gained extensive experience in the industrial, commercial, institutional and residential sectors working for two of the largest contracting companies in Vancouver.
Marvin Kale is a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS(F)) and Construction Management Technologist with over 38 years in the construction industry. Mr. Kale also holds a Gold Seal Certificate (GSC) for Estimating (General Contracting) from the Canadian Construction Association. He spent 15 years with major general contractors as Manager of Construction and Contracts and Chief Estimator prior to starting his own Quantity Surveying firm and prior to joining KDS Construction Ltd. He has led teams in design, estimating, construction, project management, and cost control on institutional, civil, commercial, residential, and industrial projects across Canada and the high Arctic. Mr. Kale is a former director and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS), and former president and director of the Quantity Surveyors of British Columbia (QSBC).
